Broccoli & Breast Cancer

Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and brussels sprouts have more nutrients per serving than many other vegetables --- nutrients called phytochemicals providing health protection by decreasing the effects of cancer-causing chemicals.

The most active of these phytochemicals DIM acts as an anticancer agent, having a direct effect on the hormone estrogen and how it is metabolized. Excessive prolonged exposure to estrogen has been associated with serious health problems, including higher incidence of breast cancer. DIM promotes beneficial estrogen metabolism and helps restore a healthy hormonal balance.

Your deodorant....You use it every day, perhaps even twice a day but have you ever consider that some of those ingredients could be harmful to your health? Parabens and aluminum, two ingredients commonly used in many deodorants on the market today, can in fact increase your risk for breast cancer! Scientific research shows that parabens have estrogenic activity in human breast cancer cells! Additionally, most breast cancers develop in the upper-outer quadrant of the breasts and it just so happens that area is closest to the lymph nodes exposed to deodorants!
